The Duel on the Diamond is ON!!!

Come cheer us on as we take to the softball field against our Democrat counterparts this Saturday, August 18th (rain date August 25th), 1:00 p.m. at the Qualters softball field in Mansfield. All proceeds from Republican ticket sales will benefit Special Olympics of Mansfield, which is inaugurating a soccer season in town this fall. State Rep. Jay Barrows, R-Mansfield, will be taking the field with us, while Sen. Jim Timilty, D-Walpole, has promised to play for the Democrats.

It's back, and I like it

Carla Howell and the Libertarian folks are set to try it again - the petition to end the income tax. The petition, which won 45.3% of the vote when it was last advanced in 2002, is coming back to a ballot near you in 2008. I know not all my R colleagues support it, but personally I'm looking forward to it. Learn more about it here.
